Four Days in the Making
I do not (fortunately for all) have a picture to share regarding the latest comical Carter moment, but I thought that it was worth sharing anyway. Prerequisite information for this story is that Carter's diapers are generally filled with what I lovingly call "poop soup" and that he loves to have audience when making his soup. So, apparently around 2 months old the digestive system starts to mature and so it is normal for their to be some more time between poops. Well, I was beginning to get a little worried after Carter had not pooped since Sunday...it was Thursday. He did not seem to feel bad. I had decided that if he did not poop by lunch I would call the doctor just to make sure there was nothing I needed to do. Vaughn kept Carter on Thursday and he reported two poops...so we thought we were in the clear. Well, I was feeding Carter on Friday morning and he decided to poop again. We ran to the changing table and while I was changing him, he continued in his mission. I yelled for Vaughn because someone else needed to see the sheer amount of poop. We had filled two diapers without even getting them on him and thought surely we were finished. NOPE! Carter then squirted poop over the diaper I was holding around him and onto his changing table. I am telling you...it went a good 8 to 10 inches. It was AMAZING! Vaughn and I could barely focus on getting him cleaned up we were laughing so hard. So, the moral of this story is....four days without poop....four days worth of poop. Thank you for indulging my story of Carter's poop soup.
